Kautilya's Economics The King and the Kingdom - Happiness chapter 3

 Weak Power Fulfillment

When the kings of the kingdoms are united and attack the enemy, then the most powerful among them should go with him. Teach him such a lesson that he will separate from the one with whom he attacked. Thus, if a gap is created in him, the one who is weak should attack in his own image. Or, by creating a gap between all the weak and bringing them to his side, and the one whose main power is to declare war on him. In this work, the spies should work very skillfully.

Opposition from the Strong

When a weak king is attacked by powerful kings, he should take refuge with the strongest king among his attackers. If the one who takes refuge is not inferior to the attacker in military and magical power and his ministers are also on his side, then he should take refuge with him.

If a king of the same caste and influence agrees to give him refuge, he should take refuge with one of them who works with a large amount of money - manpower and goods.

If a king who gives refuge is not found, then a weak king should take refuge in such a fortress where even with a large army the enemy cannot interfere with his food supplies, etc. If any of the reasons mentioned below arise, a weak king should take refuge in a fortress - the wise man will think that he will prepare a party, friend, medium or indifferent for war with the enemy. Or he will expel a feudal lord, a chieftain or a raider's clan from the kingdom of a bad person and leave it. Or he will subjugate the enemy's servants and create a rebellion in his fortified state or camp and enter the fortress. Many such reasons have been given for entering the fortress.

Treatment of the defeated

If a king does not pay the invader of the Vijigism even after promising to pay him and there is anxiety towards him, then the only capable king of the powerful Vijigism should be campaigned against. As the kingdom reaches

Kautilya's Economics

There is no possibility of removing the enemy from the fort, a favorable climate for the soldiers, availability of food and the possibility of removing the enemy from the fort. If the opposite is the case, all those obstacles will have to be removed and the enemy will have to move forward.

A friend who helps the king with cities, villages and gems produced from mines is called ‘Chitrabhogha’. A friend who helps with soldiers and money is called ‘Mahabhogha’. A friend who benefits with soldiers, money and land is called ‘Sarvabhoga’. One who removes possible misfortune is called Ektabhoga Mitra and one who harms both the enemy and the friend is called ‘Ubhayatobhogha’ Mitra. One who harms the enemy, the enemy’s friend and the enemy’s enemy is called ‘Sarvatobhoga’ Mitra.

Thus, the kings who are protected by the Vijigishu by the Sama principle always behave in a manner favorable to the Vijigishu and their sons and grandsons will also succeed by following them.

Sandhi Karma and Sandhi Moksha

The three words Sama, Parva and Samadhu have the same meaning.

An agreement made with a vow like this, ‘This will be so, nothing else will happen’ is called a ‘Chal Parva’ and it is not very reliable. An agreement made with Pratibha and Pratigraha is called a ‘Sthavara’.

The kings of the past made agreements with this type of oath, ‘We are bound by the agreement’.

If the oath is violated, the agreement is made by taking a vow to touch fire, water, etc. and destroy these objects.

After making an agreement, the Vijigishu can increase their power and try to free their sons and grandsons.

It is the duty of the spies to seek cooperation in this rescue operation. They will be able to prepare a tunnel at night according to their work and kidnap the prince. The prince may also try to change his clothes and try to get out

If there is no other way, the prince can attack the Axis guards who are already hiding in the night and get out with the spies by signaling like a mare festival on a galloping horse.

Middle, Depression and Rajmandal circles

The nature and degeneracy of the middle king are both of three kinds: I. The nature of the king himself, the king of his friends and the friends of friends. Distortion is his enemy, his enemy's friend and his enemy's friend his friend.

All this is a way for the king to increase his power by using nature and magic

If a neutral king refuses to submit to an indifferent king, then it is necessary to create a gap between the indifferent and the neutral king. This ensures that the king who is particularly dear to the king, as opposed to both the moderate and the indifferent, is to take refuge in the king and give all his help.

If the apathetic king wants to keep the middle king under his control, then it is proper for the king to take one of the middle and indifferent kings to his side, so that he can protect his enemies and be good to his friends.

Friendly vassals also have eight dharnas – siding with Bijigism in the pursuit of something, being with Bijigism in war campaigns, agreeing to be with Bijigism in conquests, participating in the interests of Bijigishu, staying with and helping to establish settlements in deserted areas, buying and selling of money, people-power and divinely associated.

Thus a king who is related to another, makes proper use of the six grandsons of Chukti Vigraha, etc., gets the wishes fulfilled by other kings.
