King andm- KingdoSukh Aggressive and graceful chapter 2
On which Bijigism is about to attack, if the CE himself attacks, whether the cause of the treaty is accepted or not, but one of the opposing kings should make a treaty with him by speaking of a double benefit, and if he does not unite with him, he should quarrel with his enemy and break the treaty with him. All the kings, in their desire for money and military power, make alliances with one or another
Kautilya Arthasshastra
Be willing. Therefore, if you look at the time and the situation and pray accordingly, the wishes of the kings of Bijigisha will be fulfilled.
By benefiting one's friend and harming one's enemy, good results are obtained.
Enemies and Bigigishus, if they wish to show favor to their friends, should think that Shakyarambi, Kalyarambhi, Bhabyarambhi, Stashikarma and Anurukta Prakriti can be particularly beneficial.
One who works according to his own strength is called 'Shakyavantri'. One who works with a fixed mind is called 'Kalyaramba'. One who works for the welfare of the future is called 'Bhadyaramvi' Mitra. One who starts a work and sticks to it until it is completed is called a 'steadfast' friend. All those ministers who work with the grace of nature's inexorable help i.e. few soldiers etc.
Apart from this, there are two more classes of friends - virtuous and indifferent. If both sides benefit equally, then it is better to make a deal and organize a war if there is a possibility of one's own less benefit.
This is the proper rule regarding the contract in the case of resources, superpowers and inferior assets.
Friendly ground work
In the case of traveling with other kings, the gain of friends, the gain of forest and the gain of land, these three are superior to one another. E.g.- In mitra profit balance, green profit is best, in semi forest profit balance, land profit is best.
'You and I will be friends', the agreement made in this VV is called 'Samchukti'. 'You and I both get forest or land' is also an agreement. 'You get a friend, I will get a forest or land' or 'You get a forest or land, I will get a friend' This is the 'Bisham Agreement'. These two types of contracts, when the profit is more than the guaranteed profit, are called 'excessive contracts'.
Mitra and his qualities
Nitya, Vasya, Lghutsthan, Father-Patama, continuously great and undisputed Mitra is called the six-fold 'Eminent Mitra'. Preferential romantic relationships apart from financial relationships
Kautilya Arthashastra
Therefore, a friend who is free from the troubles of love and who also protects him is called 'Nityamitra'.
By distinguishing between Sarvabhoga, Chitrabhoga and Mahabhoga, the Vaishya Mitra is of three types. A friend or friend who helps with soldiers, money, and land is Sarvabhoga. A friend who helps with all useless things is called Chitrabhoga. A friend who helps only with soldiers or money is called Mahabhoga.
A friend who feels the same happiness and sorrow as a friend, who always helps his friends, who never harbors any regrets in his mind and does not hesitate in times of danger, that friend is called 'Aryaamitra'. Because of being with this friend every day, he is also called a 'friend-like' friend.
Land Treaty
A contract with the condition 'I and you will get the land' is called a land contract. The one who has prepared the necessary financial and human resources between the two parties is the one who is entitled to more benefits. Even if the benefits are equal, the one who attacks a strong enemy gains more.
Non-Residential Treaty
An agreement like ‘We both will establish villages and cities in uninhabited places’ is called a non-residential treaty. In this way, the one who succeeds in establishing cities and villages on the land invested by mobilizing the necessary financial and human resources, benefits.
Wetlands are said to be the best. Bread and fruits are sure to be produced in them. But only rain-fed land is not so beneficial. Even in two types of wetlands, that land is considered good, where rice and rice grow well, where the cultivation of crops does not work well, it is not called good land.
Similarly, lands that are protected by animals, cows and half-churned lands are also considered good.
In all lands, the protection of shelter, i.e. the protection of shelter, is a very admirable quality
Kautilya Arthashastra
In this way, the land of the river, the desert, the inhabited and the uninhabited should be cultivated and cultivated in a timely manner. That is, the collective help should be more profitable than other feudal lords.
Karma Sandhi
The agreement made on the condition that ‘I and you will build a fort together’ is called a karma sandhi. Apart from building a fort, agreements are also made for the construction of bridges.
Among the forts built in remote places, river forts and hill forts are also particularly beneficial compared to land forts.
The king of a country that is blessed with rivers benefits significantly compared to other kings.
With strong arms in hand, remote forest regions and difficult routes of travel are best. But according to Lakshmi, a large number of elephants with little power is beneficial.
The Durvas have stated that it is beneficial to mine valuable things in small quantities and in large quantities of low-valued things. But Lakshmi's opinion is the opposite.
Gaining from one's own hand is a loss of power and gaining profit in the work of power is its own increase. A small income and a large expenditure also cause loss. Equal income and expenditure are considered as a valid position.
The idea of taking sides
Two powerful kings are attacking together, the one whose deeds are greater should be given the support of the one who is called upon to attack. Of two unfriendly feudatories, the one who gives the support of the one who is called upon to attack with all his army is the one who gains the most.
Of the two feudatories that attack an enemy of equal power, the one who attacks a righteous enemy has taken the side of the king. Why do the attackers on religious enemies themselves oppose the creations of friends, ministers, etc. Between the two feudatory states attacking friends and enemies, the one who wins the victory over enemies is particularly benefited.
